characteristics
BILL GATES
Bill Gates or
well-known as William Henry Gates III is a figure of the greatest in the
computer revolution. He is also the founder of Microsoft software company that
worked with Paul Allen. Bill Gates was born on October 28 1955 in Seattle, the
west coast of the United States. He was the second of three siblings. He was
born into a wealthy family. His mother was a school teacher and was an
important figure in the Seattle community. His father was a lawyer, a decisive

reader so that his father could afford to buy books for him but not for her
mother, who did not support his hobby for fear that his son did not get along
with the environment and only with books. Bill Gates is a smart boy but he
quickly felt bored and eventually after he and his friend Paul Allen founded

mutual benefit. Potential entrepreneurs identify opportunities and limited
resources around them are also involved in influencing the success of an
entrepreneur. It started with a phone call made by Bill Gates to MITS (Micro
Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems), a company that creates micro-computer
as recited in Popular Electronics Magazine, January 1975 issue of the Altair
8800. Although at that time Bill Gates and a friend companions, Paul Allen has
not started any writing code for the Altair 8800 of MITS but he told the
president that the partners are building an intermediate BASIC. The purpose of
his call MITS was just to attract attention only. In a few weeks, Bill Gates
and Paul Allen managed to build a match (emulator) for the use of Altair BASIC

Entrepreneurs who want
to be successful need to take risks and deal with it. The higher the risk, the
higher the returns. However, an entrepreneur has to calculate and take into
account in order to avoid the possibility of future losses. In 2000, Bill Gates
stepped down from his position as CEO and he chose to return to his old
profession that he loved the Head of Research and Development Software at his
own company, Microsoft Corp. And in early 2008, Bill Gates decided to step down
from Microsoft's involvement and focus on charity that he founded.

Many think that Bill
Gates and his ideas are always welcome but without many ups and downs. But it
is not called entrepreneurs without failure. There are times that entrepreneurs
are above and sometimes below. It is located in a person entrepreneurs
themselves whether to get up or continue to fall without attempting to achieve
the success. Bill Gates had also failed. In 1998-2001 Bill Gates launched the
Auto PC 'to revolutionize the entertainment in your phone. However, mobile
phone, mobile phone is equipped with a wide range such as CD-player, GPS,but he
was not interested in the product. In addition, in 1995-1996 Bob Gates launched
the program but the program needs more than that of most computer available at
that time and the market did not accept. In 1991, Gates Cairo program design,
and having spent money and time, Cairo eventually canceled. But he is not easy
to stop there because Bill Gates adhere to the principle of his life. He kept
trying to make better products and still trying because his not giving up and
positively thinking.
4) Have a vision
(Visionary)
An entrepreneur who
has a vision is also known as a 'visionary'. These entrepreneurs have a vision
and direction to achieve the objectives and goals outlined. Entrepreneurs who
have the vision to make the best decision and consider the challenges, threats
and opportunities that will be encountered. Bill Gates, he had a confidence that
is very high. While in school, he once said: "I will score my first
million dollars the first at the age of 25 years." At that time, US $ 1
million is huge. And,when Bill was 24 years, Microsoft has produced 7 million
US dollars with just 40 employees.
5) Proactive
Someone who has a
proactive attitude has always had a vision for the future, looking to the
future with optimism, always active and think of things they can do to improve
the quality of life. Proactive attitude tends to lead to action positive.
Similarly, Bill Gates, he has positive thoughts to make computer software is to
be paid rather than free software that makes computers now paid. Not just a
business show a profit even business carried on a small scale can develop into
